48 Hours in Hampstead, London, Like a Local
London is a vast and complicated town. Each part of this sprawling metroplex has it's own energy. For a summer 2017 trip, we chose to stay in North London (off the Northern line) in the village-y Hampstead, a leafy and charming suburb of the city. It was our way to see a part of London we weren't as familiar with, more like a local. If you prefer to escape the chaos of Zone 1 (and the tourist hordes) but still be accessible to greater London experiences, this guide includes a tip for where to stay (a lovely local Airbnb suitable for a family), as well as slow travel experiences for a weekend or short sojourn. Included also are tips for where to eat, local experiences walkable inside the town and how to best arrive in Hampstead from a London airport or train.
