A Family Getaway Guide to Stunning Slovenia
We visited Slovenia for the first time in May of 2017, as part of a greater family vacation in this new region of Europe, on a journey that also included stops in Italy and Croatia.
We spent four days experiencing sophisticated, stunning small-town Slovenia, basing in the beautiful university city of Ljubljana (pronounced Loop-Li-Ana), Slovenia.
This city prides itself on its focus on the environment, its tolerant culture and its many foodie experiences. It also delights for architecture and design.
Using an Airbnb in the city as our family travel base, we explored the city and we also spent time visiting nearby local experiences as day trips.
To recreate or be inspired by our stay, download my free guide and learn about what we did (with details for the Airbnb where to stayed, how to move around and what foods and experiences not to miss), complete with dragons and caves.
My tip: get there before the tourist crowds overwhelm the city. It's still a relatively undiscovered gem!
