When I told my father I wanted to visit Woodstock he immediately had visions of a grassy field, music and 60's hippies rolling around in the mud, I had to correct him and tell him Woodstock, Vermont is NOT that Woodstock.
Woodstock, Vermont has been a destination for many years for the wealthy, educated and influential including George Perkins Marsh, environmentalist, Frederick Billings and Laurence Rockefeller.
Visiting Woodstock Vermont is like walking into a childhood painting of rolling hills, cows, red barns and a classical center town green surrounded by pretty homes, galleries and businesses.
You can enjoy a weekend of bicycling, walking or driving and enjoying a variety of foodie stops, sampling maple syrup, cheese and beers! At the end of the day stay in a cozy bed and breakfast and get unplugged!
Now I live in California but as I see fall approach I book my ticket and make plans to get my October Fall Foliage fix in Woodstock Vermont and I think you will too!
